Indian head massage.

Massage has always played an important part in Indian life, featuring in the earliest Ayurvedic texts that date back nearly 4,000 years. Ayurveda is an ancient Indian medical system which some believe to be the oldest medical system in the world. It was brought to the west by Narendra Mehta in the 1970s. The therapy was extended to include the face, ears, neck and shoulders. By doing this you are then in fact working on the whole body/system. The brain is the center of the nervous system and the ears have several reflex points relating to the whole body. Also, working on the three higher chakras has a powerful effect which can bring the energy of the whole body back into balance.

Coupled with nourishing oils for the hair, improved blood circulation and lymphatic flow, regular Indian head massage is a must have for health and relaxation.

Benefits of Indian Head massage may include:

Relieved insomnia and feelings of restlessness

Reduced acute and chronic pain

Reduced nerve entrapment and nerve root compression (caused by muscle tension)
